25% of the country's territory is protected national parkland, and 40% is covered by forest. Georgia is currently home to 14 nature reserves, 10 national parks, 41 natural monuments, 18 managed reserves, and 2 protected landscapes.

Georgia has nearly 12,000 historical monuments, close to 150 museums, and countless treasures — and the number of discoveries keeps growing. The country has long been known for its natural healing resources, with over 100 resorts and more than 180 resort areas today, most of them along the coast and in the mountain regions.
