A lake in southern Georgia (Ninotsminda municipality), on the Javakheti plateau, 1,928 m above sea level. Surface area 13.3 km², basin area 182 km². Greatest depth 0.8 m, volume 6.4 million m³. It is ice-covered from late November to late April. Fish are few. Around the lake lie several districts of the town of Ninotsminda and the villages of Didi Khanchali and Patara Khanchali.
