Khozapini (Kartsakhi Lake) is a lake in southern Georgia, Akhalkalaki municipality, at 1,799 m. Surface area 26.3 km², basin area 158 km², greatest depth 1 m, volume 19.3 million m³. It occupies the Kartsakhi synclinal basin. The state border divides the lake in two: the northeastern part (53% of the surface) lies within Georgia, the southwestern in Turkey. It is fed by snow, rain and groundwater. Its level peaks in June and is lowest in February. The lake has no outflow. The water is brackish (880 mg/l). From December to the second half of March it is covered with ice.
