Reservoir Reservoir

The Khrami is a river in eastern Georgia, a right tributary of the Mtkvari; in its upper course it is called the Ktsia. It rises on the slopes of the Trialeti range and flows through a deep valley. The river is 201 km long, with a basin of 8,340 km²; its average discharge is 51 m³/s, its maximum 448 m³/s. It is fed mainly by snow and does not freeze; in its lower course it is used for irrigation. The Tsalka reservoir and three hydroelectric stations are built on the Khrami. Its tributaries are the Debeda and the Mashavera (right).
