In the village of Kvemo Machkhaani, Sighnaghi municipality, stands the house museum of Pore Mosulishvili. Pore (Kristepore) Mosulishvili was born on July 20, 1916, and died a hero's death on December 3, 1944, in the Italian village of Lesa (Novara) in a clash with the German fascists. He is buried in Arona, northern Italy. A Georgian, holder of the Gold Medal for Military Valor, national hero of Italy (1970) and Hero of the Soviet Union (1990).
