Kuakantsalia is a limestone boulder in Tsalenjikha municipality, on the Kvira limestone massif near the sources of the Intsra River, 1,800 m above sea level. It "sits" on a raised pedestal in the almost treeless subalpine zone, its surface furrowed by water. It measures up to 1.8 × 2 × 1.6 m and weighs roughly 10–12 tons. The boulder attracts special attention because, with a light push of the hand on one of its edges, this huge mass of stone begins to rock, giving out a knocking sound. It has four points of support, one of which is always in the air — which is what allows it to move. Such rocking stones occur in many countries, but most are formed in magmatic volcanic rocks, whereas this is a limestone boulder standing on a karst massif.
