It belongs to the first third of the 11th century. The church is a single-nave hall building whose eastern semicircular apse is contained within the plane of the wall outside. The vault rests on an arch raised on pilasters. It has three entrances, from the south, west and north. It is built of cleanly dressed travertine blocks; the doors and windows, the cornice and the decoration of the east facade are executed in whitish limestone. The church is richly adorned with sumptuous carved ornament and reliefs. It was restored in the 1970s (led by M. Dvali), and the church's splendid carved chancel screen has been partly reconstructed, its fallen pieces preserved within the church.
