Located in the village of Tibaani, Sighnaghi municipality, 11 km east of Sighnaghi. The monastery was founded in the 6th century by the venerable Assyrian Father Stepane (552–557), whose holy relics rest in the monastery. The church was thoroughly repaired in 1822. From Khirsa monastery a magnificent view opens over the Alazani valley and the Caucasus.
