The natural monument is formed in Lower Cretaceous limestone. The cave begins with an overhanging cornice. Before the entrance (at the surface) is a collapse-formed lake 5 meters deep and 30 m around, which connects underground with the Tskaltubo reservoir. A 4-meter step divides the cave in two. The front part is spacious, its floor pitted with karst funnels; the second part is a narrow passage that can only be crawled through. The cave is dry, with traces of temporary torrents. At the end of the tunnel is a small lake.
