An 8th–9th-century single-nave church near the village of Tmogvi (Aspindza municipality), in the abandoned village of Giorgitsminda. The church stands on a single-stepped socle. Outside, the walls are faced with well-dressed stone blocks of even size; inside, the structurally important parts are laid in the same fashion, the remaining walls being of roughly dressed stone. On the east the church has a semicircular apse. On either side of the sanctuary window is a rectangular niche. The long walls are articulated by two wall arches each. The entrance is in the western part of the south wall, and on the same side a portico runs the church's full length. On the slope southeast of the church survives the roughly dressed base of a stone pillar (stela). By decree of the President of Georgia, in 2006 the church was granted the status of an immovable cultural monument of national significance
