The museum of the famous Georgian poet is housed in the Tsereteli family mansion. It was founded in 1940 in the Imeretian village of Skhvitori. The museum's collections preserve personal belongings of the poet and his forebears (accessories, clothing), French, Italian and German furniture of the first half of the 19th century, tableware (Russian-made "Kuznetsov"), a library (editions of various periods in Georgian, Russian and French), and manuscripts of the poet and other public figures — a copy of the Kartlis Tskhovreba transcribed in the first half of the 19th century and Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani's dictionary.
