The Green Church of Gardateni is dedicated to the Transfiguration. It is a hall church built of rubble stone and faced with broken greenish tuff. The building is badly damaged: the roof and the west wall are completely destroyed, the south wall partly. On either side of the semicircular apse are small chambers. Three decorative arches spanned each of the two pairs of pilasters on the hall's long walls.
