The Ikorta church is an old Georgian Orthodox church on the edge of the village of Ikorta (Gori municipality), on a mountainside. The domed church was built in 1172. The dome of the rectangular building rests on the corners of the sanctuary and on two pillars; on the east it has a semicircular apse. The church is generously lit by 12 windows set in the tall drum of the dome. The walls and vaults were plastered and painted from the start (fragments survive in the apse, on the north wall and in the dome). Gateways once adjoined the south and west entrances (now destroyed); the present southern porch is late.
