The St. John the Baptist church of Plavi is a hall church (11 × 6.5 m) built of cobblestone and brick, its corners raised in blocks of reddish rubble stone. The semicircular apse has a window flanked by a deep niche on either side; there is one window each in the south and west walls. A transverse arch springs from a pilaster on each long wall, carrying the cylindrical vault. Arches decorate the walls. On the east facade, below the roof, a relief cross is carved on a reddish stone set into the wall.
