Church 1 of Jinvali Village Ruins

Church Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Dusheti district

Church Church

The hall church (6 × 3.4 m) was built of cobble and rubble stone of various sizes. It was badly damaged: the roof covering, the cornice and the upper part of the facade coursing had collapsed. The entrance, spanned by wooden beams, was cut at the western end of the south wall. On either side of the window on the axis of the semicircular apse was a small rectangular niche. Beneath the window, a four-sided altar stood against the wall. The church was lit by one rectangular window each in the south and west walls.
