The Church of the Mother of God of Sakasheti is a hall church (12.6 × 8.3 m) built of alternating courses of cobblestone and brick, with blocks of reddish stone at the corners. The surrounds of the arched doors are also of stone. The entrances are on the south and west. The semicircular apse has one window and two large niches; the south and north walls each have two large windows. The hall is covered with a cylindrical vault. The church has a gabled roof of blue fluted tile. A brick belfry is built onto the west wall
