St. George's church of Sakavre is a hall church (9.7 × 5.6 m) built of large sandstone blocks. The entrance, with an architrave, is on the south. In the apse, to the left of the window, is an opening leading to the prothesis; to the right, a small rectangular niche. A low step runs along the apse. The sanctuary was separated from the hall by a chancel screen (ornamented stones survive). There is one window each in the west and south walls, and one pilaster on each of the hall's long walls.
