The Church of the Mother of God of Sakavre is a hall church (9.4 × 7.9 m) built of rubble stone, with entrances on the south and west. The apse has one window flanked by a triangular niche on either side; the south and west walls each have a window as well. The hall is covered with a cylindrical vault. On the east facade, above the sanctuary window, is set a block of yellow sandstone carved with a building inscription
