The Kvavi church is a hall church (10.6 × 5.7 m) built of large dressed blocks of green and yellowish stone. It is badly damaged: the surviving walls stand no more than 1.5–4 meters high. Around the church lie the earth-covered ruins of other walls. The entrance is on the south. The semicircular apse has two windows. The long walls are articulated by paired pilasters. Near the church building is an old settlement site of the same name.
