St. Nicholas Church is a central-domed structure built of brick, dating to the turn of the 12th–13th centuries. The south and north gateways were added in the 14th century. The church has three entrances: west, south and north. The dome, raised on a square base, rests on the corners of the sanctuary and on two western pillars
