The small church of Tskhvarichamia is a hall church (6.5 × 6.3 m) built of cobblestone, with well-dressed travertine used in the structural parts (the conch arch, the entrance arch, the corners of the apse). It is badly damaged: the vault has collapsed, much of the north wall is destroyed, the gateway is completely ruined and the facing stones have fallen from the facades.
