Church Church

The small church of Tskhvarichamia is a hall church (6.5 × 6.3 m) built of cobblestone, with well-dressed travertine used in the structural parts (the conch arch, the entrance arch, the corners of the apse). It is badly damaged: the vault has collapsed, much of the north wall is destroyed, the gateway is completely ruined and the facing stones have fallen from the facades. On the east the church has an irregularly rounded apse; the apse arch and conch are lowered. At the springing of the conch arch are shelf-like travertine imposts
