Bateti Lake is a lake of landslide origin in Georgia, Kareli municipality, on the northern slope of the Trialeti range, in the valley of the Batetistskali (Dzama River basin), 1,313 m above sea level. Surface area 0.02 km², basin area 5 km², greatest depth 12 m. The landslide that created the lake came down from the south. It has no broad shore and is ringed by slopes clothed in coniferous and beech forest. The water is transparent and fresh; a stream flows out of the lake. The southern shore is marshy. From December to March it is covered with ice. The lake is home to the Asia Minor newt, listed in Georgia's Red Book, which also records trout in the lake.
