The Timotesubani monastery of the Mother of God, a church built at the turn of the 12th–13th centuries in the village of Timotesubani (Borjomi municipality), is one of the most important monuments of Georgian cultural heritage. It was built by Shalva Akhaltsikheli, eristavt-eristavi of Tori. Its wall paintings are remarkable, placing it among the splendid monuments of Queen Tamar's era.
