The literary museum of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani, the outstanding 17th–18th-century Georgian writer, scholar and political figure, is located in the village of Tandzia, Bolnisi municipality. It preserves editions of his works from various periods, paintings and graphic works by Georgian artists on themes from those works, photographs and documents. The St. Nicholas church of Tandzia stands in the museum's grounds and was the court church of the Orbelianis, built in 1683 by Vakhtang, father of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani.
