Church Shida Kartli, Akhalgori district

Church Church

A monument of Georgian architecture, a hall church of the first half of the 13th century in the Ksani valley, in historical Shida Kartli, near the village of Mosabruni (Akhalgori municipality). The church is faced with yellowish-golden dressed stone; inside, the walls are of large cobblestone, while the structural elements — pilasters, arches, window openings and the conch — are executed in dressed stone. The interior was plastered and painted (fragments survive). The eastern apse is semicircular, the vault slightly pointed.
