A historic fortress in Kvemo Kartli (in present-day Bolnisi municipality), on the right side of the Bolnisistskali (Poladauri) River near the modern village of Poladauri, on a high rocky mountain. It takes its name from the historical village of Berdiki. An enclosure wall and two towers survive, one of them four stories high. The fortress was built in the middle feudal period. It controlled the shortest road along the Poladauri valley, which crossed into Lore over the "Mglis Kari" (Wolf's Gate) pass.
