The Kviratskhoveli church of the abandoned village of Zhinvali (4.6 × 3.1 m) was built on a small platform reinforced on the west and north by walls of broken rock. In the western of these walls was an arched niche, and in the northern one two large and one small flat-covered hiding places plastered with lime mortar. The church was almost completely destroyed; part of the walls of the rectangular sanctuary and the foundations of the west and south walls survived. A contemporary annex adjoined the church on the north. The church was surrounded by an enclosure wall of rubble stone, in whose west wall an entrance reinforced on the outside by two buttresses was arranged.
