On December 22, 2010, John Bass, Ambassador of the United States to Georgia, visited the St. George's church of Arbo and the Trinity church of Tirdznisi in Gori municipality. The churches were restored with a grant from the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation: a grant of 49,400 dollars was awarded to the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia in 2009.
