This lake was created artificially, its purpose being to filter the water of the Kvirila River before returning it to its channel. Water was pumped from the Kvirila into the lake and, once settled, flowed back into the river. The lake was stocked with carp, silver carp, crucian carp and various small fish. It is quite deep and rich in aquatic plants and in various water creatures, turtles and so on.
