Anton Purtseladze's house (22.6 × 12.2 m) has two stories and is built of brick and rubble stone. The building has been altered: the northern balcony, which ran the house's full length, is entirely demolished, and long chambers have been added on the first floor in place of the balcony. The house is entered from the south, from a balcony open on one side. On the first floor are a hall and 4 rooms of various sizes; one room's door opens onto the balcony, and the rooms have fireplaces. From the hall a wooden stair leads to the second floor, and from that floor's hall to the attic. The second floor repeats the plan of the first. Most of the cellar is occupied by a wine cellar (marani); on the east is one more separate chamber. In the marani, brick piers and massive arches support the main wall of the upper floor. Between the pillars and the outer wall are two brick wine presses. Set into the floor are 36 kvevri of various sizes. On the main facade side a stone stair leads down into the marani.
