The archaeological monuments of Armaziskhevi are fenced off and an open-air museum has been created here. The excavated burials of various types and the remains of buildings of various purposes date mainly from the first centuries AD to the Middle Ages. There are also Eneolithic monuments (remains of an obsidian tool workshop) and Bronze Age ones (a pit burial). Armaziskhevi was the residence of the eristavis (pitiakhshes) of Kartli.
