The Lavriskhevi church dates to the first half of the 10th century. It is a cross-domed building of the free-cross type (9.5 × 9 m), built of medium-sized brownish-yellow broken sandstone, with basalt and tuff also used. In the 19th century the church was plastered and painted inside and out, a wooden floor was laid, a chancel screen installed and the roof covered with tin. The church has two entrances — in the north wall of the north arm and in the south wall of the west arm (cut in the 19th century).
