Church Church

The Church of the Mother of God of Ormotsi is a hall church (9 × 5.5 m) built of large rubble stone, with brick also used. The arched entrance is in the western part of the south wall. The church's irregular semicircular apse is set off from the hall by narrow shoulders. On the apse axis is one wide arched window flanked by small arched niches. The apse floor is raised one step above the church's wooden floor. In the hall's west wall is one window. The vault rests on the triumphal arch, on transverse arches based on corbels in the long walls, and on the west wall. The hall is plastered. Above the windows of the east and west facades, crosses standing on stepped pedestals are worked in brick coursing. The cornice consists of two courses of brick. The roof is of tin.
