The inscription above the entrance on the east facade of the Trinity church dates the monument precisely to 1806. The epigraphic text, in Mkhedruli script, reads: "In the year 1806 I built this church of God and the Holy Trinity from its foundations, surrounded it with a wall and adorned it with every church ornament at my own expense. I, the servant of God, state councillor, cavalier and prince Giorgi Tumanov, son of Egnate the secretary, for the intercession of the souls of my parents; for myself and for my wife, Princess Maria, daughter of Orbeliani; for my children and my brothers Iese and Davit."
