Lakbe reservoir lies in Sighnaghi municipality, near the village of Arashenda, created by damming the Lakbe River. Its construction began in the 1980s for irrigation purposes — the reservoir was to supply irrigation water to the Shiraki plain — but was never completed, and today it effectively exists as a natural lake. Its maximum depth is 22 meters. According to the information we have gathered, carp and silver carp were released into the lake, and chub entered naturally from the river. The reservoir needs further study of its fish fauna.
