The Transfiguration church of Arashenda is a hall church (7.1 × 5 m) built of cobblestone and brick, its windows carved each from a single dressed stone. The arched entrance is in the western part of the south wall. On the axis of the irregular semicircular apse is a narrow arched window flanked by rectangular niches; beneath the northern niche is a stone-built pedestal. There are also windows in the west wall and the eastern part of the south wall. The transverse arch of the brick cylindrical vault rests on corbels in the long walls. The interior is plastered. Set into the ridge of the east facade is a stone with a relief cross. The church is ringed by a cornice of two courses of brick.
