A monastery complex 7–8 km north of Telavi, founded in the 6th century by Zenon, one of the Assyrian Fathers. On the monastery grounds stand the churches of the Trinity, the Deity and All Saints. According to tradition, Arsen of Ikalto (11th–12th centuries) founded an academy here.
