In Kldisubani in Tbilisi, on a rise near the bell tower of the Zemo Bethlehem church, stands a rectangular brick building with a collapsed roof, of which only a small part of the vault remains. According to historians, a "Mazdean" fire-worshippers' shrine — an ateshgah — stood here from ancient times. Remarkably, the Georgian kings preserved it as an ancient monument. This unique cultural heritage monument has now undergone thorough conservation and restoration.
