In the southwestern part of the Askhi massif, a left tributary of the Abasha River issues from a cave in a limestone cliff and immediately falls from a height of about 40 meters. Where it lands, the waterfall has carved a basin 12 m across, in which the water seethes as if boiling. The spray of the falls often forms a rainbow. To the right of the main waterfall are two more small falls. A limestone cliff 200 m high looms over them. The surroundings are built of Upper Cretaceous limestone and clothed in dense forest. Notable are the thick boxwood groves, quite difficult to pass through. Nearby is a site of abundant outflows of the Rachkha karst waters.
