The church's terrace is bounded on the east and north by retaining walls following the terrain. A relief brick cross adorns the pediment of the east facade. Above the window, on a small sandstone block, a badly damaged Mkhedruli inscription survives. On the west the church once had a gateway, of which only two brick-built pillars remain.
