Kvavlo tower stands in Akhmeta municipality, in Tusheti, on the northern edge of the abandoned village of Kvavlo. It dates to the late Middle Ages. By decree of the President of Georgia, in 2006 the tower was granted the status of an immovable cultural monument of national significance
