The tower (6 × 6 m) has three stories (height 11 m) and is built of rubble stone and slate; the walls are 1 m thick. The entrance is at the first story, on the straight-walled side, 4 meters above the ground. The south and east walls each have a loophole. Beneath this story are two wide, deep storage pits. On the second story there is a loophole on each side. In the straight wall of the third story an opening leads onto a small balcony; there is a loophole each on the south and east, and on the west three small niches set side by side. The third story narrows upward and ends in a gabled ceiling of closely laid logs, topped with concrete
